Melee/Hunter Raid Buffs Empty Melee/Hunter Raid Buffs

Ninja'd from another source, but thought it would be a good thing to post here for reference.

This post is gonna focus on warriors and slightly on rogues and hunters.

-Mongoose: (self-explanatory)

-Giants: (self-explanatory)

-Winterfall Firewater: A good place to farm these is in Winterspring, just northeast of Everlook. The drop rate for these has been nerfed which has made getting them more of a pain which is why it is more of an optional potion that I use fairly sparingly on fights like Chrom, Nef, Fankriss, and Huhu. The elite furbolg in the cave has a 100% drop rate and if you loot him entirely he has about a 5 minute spawn rate, the other mobs have a much lower drop rate.

-Ground Scorpok Assay: A 25 Agility buff that stacks with mongoose, an amazing buff granting a large amount of crit to warriors, AP and crit for rogues, and a large amount of AP to Hunters. You get the quest from http://www.wowwiki.com/Bloodmage_Drazial in Blasted Lands. The initial quest is called "The Decisive Striker" and gives you the Scorpok powder as well as a 25 Agility buff, the buff is only given the first time you do the quest. After you do the quest the repeatable version is called "Salt of the Scorpok" which just gives you the Assay and no buff. The buff lasts an hour and shares a CD with ROIDS, meaning you can only have one up at a time.

-R.O.I.D.S: A 25 Strength buff that stacks with Giants. Good for all physical classes but mainly warriors. The quest is given by the same guy and the initial one is called "Snickerfang Jowels" which gives a 25 Str buff as well as the ROIDS. The quest afterwards called "Rage of Ages" only gives you the roids. Something else to mention here is that Scrolls do NOT stack with this buff, so don't waste them.

Note: These two quests take a very short amount of time to complete and you can have only one Roids and Assay on you at a time. They are essentially a free mongoose and giants elixir. Doing both quests takes less than 10 minutes. There is another buff as well from the lady near the quest giver that is for spell casters (Intellect/Spirit). A caster can feel free to check it out. For warriors I would recommend using the Assay for the easier parts of the raid and the ROIDS for the more difficult parts or for the fights where you'll be DPS'ing the most, for instance, you wouldnt use your ROIDS for a fight like Prophet but definitely on Fankriss. Also, be aware that the Assay and ROIDS share a CD so you can only have one up at a time, get your timings down and make sure the CD will be up in time for the boss you want to use it on.

-Smoked Desert Dumplings: Gives 20 strength. The mats for it are 1x Sandworm Meat. The meat drops from the worm mobs in Silithus and has a good drop rate. You can farm 20 in 10-15 minutes.

-Darkmoon Faire Buff: The Darkmoon Faire is usually in Northwestern Mulgore, there is an NPC named Sayge that you can talk to. If you choose the two most violent options (Slay the man, Execute your friend painfully) you will get a buff that increases all damage done by 10%. It is a great buff if you can spare some time before a raid to head to Mulgore. It lasts for 2 Hours.

-Sharpening Stones: Dense Sharpening Stones are the second best ones for fury warriors, they add 8 additional damage to a weapon and the mats are just 1x Dense Stone. Dense stones sell on the AH for about 2-4 gold a stack and Paramedic is capable of making Dense Sharpening Stones, the tooltip says they last 30 minutes but they last for an hour. Elemental Sharpening Stones add 2% crit to each weapon, totaling to 4% for fury warriors. The mats are 2x Elemental Earth and 4x Dense Stone. Elemental Earth has a good drop rate from the Earth elementals in northern Badlands, they are just east of the Horde camp there in the northwest.

-Great Rage Potion: Gives 30-60 rage. The mats are 1x Large Fang and 1x Kingsblood. Fairly cheap mats. There is also a Mighty Rage potion that gives more rage as well as 60str for 20 seconds. However, this rage potion overrides your Giants so I would recommend the weaker rage potion over it.

I made this post for people who may not be entirely aware of all the buffs they can get to increase their DPS or just how easily they can be gotten.
